Forward-deployed AI engineering training in Mumbai

Mumbai's banks, insurers and centres need engineers who can take an agent from discovery to a running system that a risk team will accept. The method is discovery, architecture, integration and handover, and each stage is assessed against a written standard. Participants leave with a working system, recorded decisions and an assessment of their own judgement.

I am Mayur Patil, based in Nashik, India. I run the public cohort and team programmes, and team programmes for Mumbai teams are arranged per engagement.

Who takes the training in Mumbai

The training suits engineers building agents for banking and insurance work, and engineering leads who must judge whether a team can ship one. Zinnov counts 56 BFSI GCC units in Mumbai, so a large share of the people who join are in capability centres.

What the programme builds

Participants build one realistic system across the programme. Discovery sets the outcome, the owner and the data map. Architecture records the decisions, including the options rejected. Integration connects the system to real records and tests it against an evaluation set. Handover gives a named owner a runbook and the decisions behind the system.

The four gates describe how each stage is assessed, and the human in the loop term explains where a person must approve an action.

Example scenarios

These are examples, labelled as such. A team may build any of them, or its own:

  • A claims-summary agent that drafts a file summary and needs an officer's approval before any decision.
  • A KYC-document checker that flags missing items and records each check.
  • A customer-service agent that prepares a case note and leaves record changes to a named approver.

Two ways in

  • The public cohort suits individual engineers. It is live online, in a weekday track or a weekend track, and AIXL Academy lists the dates and enrolment.
  • A team programme is built around one team's own systems. A short call comes first, and you can start it by sending an enquiry.

What a participant leaves with

Every participant produces a discovery brief, an architecture decision record, a working build, an evaluation report and a handover note. In a bank, the evaluation report is the document the risk team reads first.

Hours

Mumbai is on India time. Team programmes run in the team's working hours. I run back-to-back full-day corporate trainings, mostly in IST. Some programmes run in US Pacific (Bay Area) time for US-based teams.

Relevant work

The organisations I have worked with and can name are on the about page. Kotak Mahindra Bank is among the recent training engagements listed on the AIXL Academy page.

Where to go next

The FDE training hub describes the programmes. For consulting in Mumbai, the Mumbai consulting page covers the engagement shapes.

Common questions

Who takes the training in Mumbai?

Engineers and engineering leads in banks, insurers and capability centres who will build AI systems that a risk team reviews and an owner runs.

Can a Mumbai team run a programme on its own tools and data?

Yes. A team programme is built on the team's tools, use cases and data, and it ends with a working system the team owns and an assessment of each person's demonstrated skills.

What is the public cohort format?

Live online, in a weekday track or a weekend track. Dates and timings are on the AIXL Academy page.

Which time zone is the training run in?

The public cohort runs in India time, which is the same as Mumbai. Team programmes are scheduled in the team's own hours.
