Forward-deployed AI engineering training in India

Who it is for

Engineers who will build agents, and the leads who decide whether a team can ship one. Indian enterprises and capability centres send both. The programmes have been taken by teams at IT services firms, banks and centres, including teams at Tredence, Persistent Systems and Walmart. Kotak Mahindra Bank is among the recent training engagements listed on the AIXL Academy page.

I am Mayur Patil, based in Nashik, India. I run the public cohort and team programmes for Indian teams, and I deliver them in India time.

The build

The programme runs one realistic system from start to finish. The team sets the outcome and the owner first, then records the design choices and the options it set aside. The system is then connected to real records and tested against an evaluation set. The final step gives a named owner a runbook and the reasoning behind the system.

The four gates mark how each stage is judged, the evaluation harness explains how results are measured, and the human in the loop term covers where a person must approve an action.

Examples

These are examples, labelled as such. A team can take any of them, or bring its own:

  • A KYC-document checker that flags missing items and records each check for an operations officer.
  • A dealer-service agent that drafts replies from a parts catalogue for an advisor to approve.
  • A claims-summary agent that drafts a file summary and waits for an officer's approval before any decision.

Two ways in

  • The public cohort suits individual engineers. It is live online, in a weekday track or a weekend track, and AIXL Academy lists the dates and enrolment.
  • A team programme is built around one team's own systems. A short call comes first, and you can start it by sending an enquiry.

What a participant leaves with

A discovery brief, an architecture decision record, a working build, an evaluation report and a handover note. The handover note names the person who approves the agent's actions, and it is usually the first document a risk team opens.

Hours

The public cohort runs on India time. Team programmes follow the team's own working hours. I run back-to-back full-day corporate trainings, mostly in IST, and some programmes run in US Pacific (Bay Area) time for US-based teams, with the overlap set per programme.

Where to go next

The FDE training hub lists the programmes. For consulting across India, see the India consulting page, and the city pages cover local facts.

Common questions

Who takes the training?

Engineers and engineering leads in Indian enterprises and global capability centres who will build AI systems that a risk team reviews and an owner runs. Teams from banking, IT services and manufacturing have been through the programmes.

Can a team run a programme on its own tools and data?

Yes. A team programme is built on the team's tools, use cases and data, and it ends with a working system the team owns and an assessment of each person's demonstrated skills.

What is the public cohort format?

The cohort is live online, in a weekday track or a weekend track. Dates, timings and enrolment are on the AIXL Academy page.

Which time zone is the training run in?

The public cohort runs in India time. Team programmes are scheduled in the team's working hours, and overlap with a parent in another time zone is agreed per project.
